The Brief
Overview
The Camping Budget Safari proves that you don't need to spend a fortune to experience the best of Tanzania's wildlife. This seven-day camping adventure covers the Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater, and Tarangire — the same parks as our premium tours — but with comfortable camping accommodations that keep costs down without sacrificing the experience.
Our camping setup is far from basic: we provide quality two-person tents with sleeping mats, a dedicated mess tent with tables and chairs, and a safari chef who prepares three delicious meals daily using fresh ingredients. Campsites are located within or adjacent to the parks, putting you right in the heart of the action.
The wildlife experience is identical to our lodge-based safaris — same vehicles, same expert guides, same game drive schedules. The only difference is where you sleep at night, and many of our guests say sleeping under the African sky with the sounds of the bush is the best part of the trip.
Perfect for budget-conscious travelers, backpackers, students, and anyone who prefers the authentic camping experience.

Guest Reviews
“Best value safari we could find. The camping was comfortable, the food was amazing (our chef was incredible!), and the wildlife viewing was just as good as the expensive tours.”
“Great budget option. Sleeping under the stars in the Serengeti was magical. The only challenge was the long drive days, but that's unavoidable on this route.”
